A forward thinking school wanted the opportunity for children to learn through unsupervised play and discover more about ecology, native flora and fauna and the food we eat. The design created a luscious environment which the children can manage and enjoy both in lessons and in play. An allotment area is protected from the schools chickens and a wildlife area is built from materials recycled on site to create an inobtrustive, low cost environmentally friendly place where children can study nature in their own way.
