We are interested in who you are, how you live, who lives beside you, how your life is changing and how you want to live in your garden. Our role is to help your garden be a wonderful part of your life.
We work in domestic gardens, public spaces, historic gardens and landscape restoration. We are hands on and hand made, choosing dry stone over porcelain, blacksmiths over extruded metal, local and native over imports. We set out all our planting and stay with you beyond the build.
Our aim is to create spaces that connect humans back to the landscape and back to nature; allowing both humans and nature to thrive.
Gardens need investment in time and money and we make careful use of both. Our design scope is built for each project and we make pragmatic use of budget to create the best value.
Rosie has drawn on her upbringing in Papua New Guinea, Sussex and South West of England to bring her love of the wild and natural world into her garden designs.
Rosie read Plant Science at The University of Manchester, chosen largely because it meant field trips in woodlands and mountains in Scotland, the Peak District and Majorca. This fostered a love of plants and wild landscapes and she has been muddy ever since.
After 15 years in London building an established events business focused on architecture, the built environment, fashion and film Rosie came back to plants. She trained in garden design with KLC School of Design and Annie Guilfoyle. As a student she won the British Designer Competition to plant a small garden at Chelsea Flower Show.
When not in gardens or the studio, Rosie is a visiting lecturer at London College of Garden Design and has planted gold medal winning show gardens with Jo Thompson for over a decade.
At weekends she can be found under the sea or on top of a mountain, gazing at kelp or moss.
